What is 21st century learning?

'' The term "21st-century skills" is generally used to refer to certain core competencies such as collaboration, digital literacy, critical thinking, and problem-solving that advocates believe schools need to teach to help students thrive in today's world. '' as defined in edweek.org

21st century is where the technological developments shape all of our lives. We use technology in the kitchen while cooking, in the bedroom while sleeping, in the living room while resting. Technology is everything we created. It's not just televisions, computers, mobile phones. Even our beds are technology. A pen is technology. We live in technology world.

In order to be a part of this world, we should learn and teach how we use technology properly.

In 21st Century Learning there are four skills ,in other words, essential rules.

These are the skills that we should learn and apply in our lives in order to be the part of 21st century. For teachers of 21st century it is crucial to teach their students those essential roles.
